Hi,

I know there should be standing water in the trap of a gully, but should there be standing water in the drain pipe that runs to the main sewer? Just trying to get an understanding of my blockage. I've had 30ft of drain rods down the pipe and not run into any blockage, theres a bend beyond that point, which is already off my property boundary.

Thanks

if the pipe "bannanas " downwards slightly....or there`s a blocked interceptor .....then you`ll get a bit of standing water.......if the solids clear ,then leave it alone ;) just don`t put wipes, etc. down the loo...and don`t use cheapo bog roll either........I `ve seen that block a drain, because it don`t dissolve properly
