Hi,

I have decided to build stone steps leading to my house rather than the sloping tarmac drive I currently have.

The steps at their highest will be around 3ft and around 10ft in length.

My Queries are:

1) Can I cement straight onto tarmac?

2) If I cant whats the best way of removing the tarmac.

Cheers in advance.

No

and

With a pick, grafting bar or chisel, then a shovel

And the third [unasked] question

proper foundations
