More of a query than a problem, the street light outside my house has recently started to make a loud buzzing noise, apart from a swarm of bees what has happened to make it start doing this? and could it affect the supply to my house?

Have you reported it to your local council? Cos as good as we are, we cant fix it.

It will affect your supply if you have illegally tapped into it. Does this apply to you? The police are on their way.

It will be the ballast in the fitting that is starting to de-laminate.

Nothing to worry about. Worst case would be it goes bang an blows the supply fuse.

I certainly will not affect the supply to your house.

If it is annoying you, report it here

if it's bothering you , try rocking the lampost back and forth a few times...
if it's a concrete post then a gentle tap or two from the car will do the trick... ;)

this is of course a joke, please don't intentionally damage street furniture..
