How do I strip old paint and primer off of my kitchen cupboards so that i can get most of it off and then restain them?

I have tried various products over the years and have found a new one recently that contains no solvents. thinking that this may be slower I tried it. It does work slightly slower but it gives a much cleaner result and found that most solvent products dont remover water based primers. This product did like a dream. Home Strip I think it was called.
