Please could anyone advise on whether you think glass or styrene is better in a summerhouse?

The house we are considering will be 8'x6', with 3/4 glass/styrene doors and 3/4 windows round 6 of the 8 sides, with small panes.

It will face the sun in the morning, but be shaded in the afternoon.

We've looked at one in homebase with styrene and another from a local garden buildings manufacturer with glass. The latter said the styrene can crack and yellow over a couple of years, is this true in anyone's experience, please can you advise.

Thank you very much in advance for any opinions.

Well they would say that wouldn't they? What's the price difference/build quality? You can always replace the plasticky window with glass at a later date if it goes yellow. Does it really matter for what is gonna be a posh shed?

Thank you for your reply. The styrene one is cheaper, and as you say it could always be replaced if its a problem.

Thank you again

That's because plastics are affected by the sun and quite a few cleaning chemicals. Glass is affected by bricks and hydroflouric acid, but not much else.
