Hi,

Does anyone have any recommendations/experiences of coating/sealing a new concrete garage floor? It's 30 sq mt and the cars are being kept out at the moment to keep it clean. I would like to have a nice matt grey finish that would be dust free and easy to clean. There will be two cars standing in the garage sometimes for a week or two at a time, so driving off with four coloured patches stuck to the tyres is not really desirable.

How do the modestly priced non-epoxy concrete paints fare? Are they durable and easy to clean? Or is an epoxy paint the way to go?

Being a Dulux fan I have found Epo-Dur, an epoxy two-pack paint. The only drawback seems to be the cost. Two coats will be close to £200. Is this too over the top? Are other less expensive epoxy paints as good?

Plastic interlocking tiles would be just the job. But at £750 they're a no goer, unfortunately.

Oh yes, any other alternative solutions? Cheap basic floor tiles?

Rgds.
