within the attic, the beams for the roof

the usual senario is

re roofed with concrete tiles which are several times the weight of the slates they replaced
people often angle extra support towards internal walls that arnt up to the job causing internal door frames to distort and doors to stick

its a job for the experts as there is a lot of heavy tempory propping of several tons off roof

of course your situation may be different

In deed need more info how old is the roof what is it covered with what are the dimensions of the rafters are there any othr elements to the current roof structure

if your purlin or hip rafter is sagging, and has done for a long time, then it may need to be jacked back slowly, and by a pro.

went to go and look at the roof properly

there is one beam sagging but common on the majority of houses on the road (surveryor confirmed).

it needs stripping and then felting and tiles layed again as it has no felt
