taking a radiator off

hello all,
need help please. i am taking a radiator off. the problem is this. one side has come off fairly easily. however the other side( right hand side if you are facing the rad) will not unscrew.
my question is this. do you uncrew down towards you or do you uncrew up towards the wall. this is the right hand side if you are facing the rad.
i have tried both sides ie up and down and i am not getting anywhere.
please help.

upwards. anti clockwise.
but be careful you don't twist it on the pipe.
