Sorry to hijack your question Craig

...but can I just check if there are smaller kits for just tanking the inside of a shower cubicle. It's only one bit of wall so I'm a bit reluctant to spend so much for shuch a wee job

The Dunlop one has less in it and costs about £40 from screwfix

Does depend on how many sides your shower needs coating and what size the tray is.

The Dunlop kit has plenty of 'gum' but not much tape, supposedly enough to do three sides of a shower cubicle if that helps. I have used it and it is very simple and effective.

Granfix have just brought one out which is an 8 litre with 10 metres worth of tape.

an impervious layer[completely waterproof ] put on all surfaces that require it before the top layer are applied to either keep the water out in a cellar
or in as in shower or wet room "wet areas"
