RF lighting, you say?

More likely he is excited buy the noise of the ringing.

If this is serious you could test by tying him up with a leather lead.

Reminds me of this:

It's common practice in England to ring a telephone by signaling extra
voltage accross one side of the two wire circuit and ground (earth in
England). When the subscriber answers the phone, it switches the two wire
circuit for the conversation. This method allows two parties on the same
line to be signalled without disturbing each other.

Anyway, an elderly lady with several pets called to say that her telephone
failed to ring when her friends called; and that on the few occasions when
it did ring, her dog would always bark first.

The telephone repairman proceeded to the scene, curious to see this
psychicdog. He climbed a nearby telephone pole, hooked in his test set,
and dialed the subscriber's house. Sure enough the phone didn't ring.
Then he tried dialing it again. This time the dog barked loudly! And
after a few moments the dogs barking would be followed by a ringing
telephone.

Climbing down from the pole, the telephone repairman found:

a. A dog was tied to the telephone system's ground post via an iron chain
and collar.

b. The dog was receiving 90 volts of signaling current.

c. After several such jolts, the dog would start barking and urinating
on the ground.

d. The wet ground now completed the circuit and the phone would ring.

I'm getting a strange tugging sensation in my bad leg. Could it be a magnetic field generated by this post, drawing the plates towards my PC?

hi i just set up in buisness,as one of my mates is a joiner and got me the contract?have just completed a 2 week training course cost me £590.00.so lucking to meet new people for new ideas on things,
i have read in the regs that animals with 4 legs are less resistante to voltages than animals with 2 legs,?????is that why i have a telephone fault?when i do touch the metal lead i feel a tingle?
any ideas?[/code]

the dog lead fixing was drilled into a brick wall, and unbeknown to us penetrated our telephone wire at 50v,hence the dog got a belt everytime the phone rang,ya know your eggs unlike some people on here!
nice one! watch out for more of mr walkers problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
coming soon!

well done adam 151

Maybe you are saying "get the dog and bone " and he reacts or maybe you should let him answer it. If you really want to wind him up....name him "Sit "

Hi rf lighting shopfitters,

Didn't you used to be from Leeds when you were posting as Mr Walker from Leeds.

Have you recently moved to Bradford? How did the move go?
Where abouts in Bradford do you live?

I am flattered that you chose to post under a modified version of my username. It has truly touched me.

Do you wan't me to bring you a cold drink out to your car for you? It is a very warm day.

Oh and please stop taking those photos. ;)

agree this is a probable wind up, ringing causing shocks i could belive but off-hook is pretty much the lowest voltage state for a phone line.

In that case, I really must stop inserting body parts into lineboxes and then dialling the number from my mobile....
