Texecom Premier Elite 12W - Wireless SAB not working?

    Anyone had this issue?

I learned the wireless SAB and successfully connected to panel (but not yet tested). I powered down panel to power up again when installed.

Added a sound bomb to usual bell terminals on PCB.

When testing system, no wireless siren on bell test (only sound bomb) - no strobe on strobe test. Software is V2.11 so compatible with wireless sounder.

Thinking of deleting bell and re-learning device again. If that doesn't work maybe try again without the sound bomb connected.

    Anyone had this issue?

Not tested at the time the device was registered with the panel (pre-installation). Panel was powered down for installation however the wireless SAB had not been powered down but installed 'as live'.

Only during full testing after installation did I find bell strobe not working.

Status LEDs on sounder unit indicate normal operation, and keypad display shows device still registered as a siren.

Go to zone setup and check that the bell is learned on?
    Check the wireless bell setttings.

richochet monitor would show the bell and its status?

The terminals for the panel bell and the external wireless bell will work.

Do the panels comissioning mode for at least 30 minutes by placing jumper on comissioning mode, once complete move the jumper back, I prefer to use ricochet monitor to confirm that the comissioning mode has been succesful.

If the above show its on and all good, delete and relearn, re do comissioning mode.

delete and re-learn on if in doubt, switch the jumper over as stated in the manual and delete and relearn on.

Thanks for the responses. Just to close this topic off:

    1) The SAB was not in hold-off mode at time of original test given LED status and time elapsed since SAB fitted.

    2) I went with my original assumption that wired terminals for SAB can't be used with a wireless bell and so disconnected the sound bomb and then did the bell test again - found that the wireless siren and strobe worked perfectly!

Obviously I didn't bother to reconnect the sound bomb - especially as internal speaker volume upon alarm was ok for customer.

    Thanks again for the advice.

AFAIK Ricochet devices sleep once they can no longer signal to the control panel (its powered down) and can take a couple of hours before they wake up again. Maybe you got lucky in most of your stuff woke up quickly and the bell took a little longer.
