Textured exterior masonry paint on internal work??

not your normal job but looking for a textured finish on internal walls ( barn conversion) freshly skimmed walls. I tested some of this paint today and the finish is perfect. I can work with the small range of colours BUT is there any reason I should not use this product in this way? and if it is possable to do this should i still prime my walls with a diluted matt emulsion first. cheers.

sounds good to me .....use a non vinyl (contract) matt emulsion as primer
