Hi there,

I have textured paint (inherited from the previous owner) on my stairwell and landing walls.

A large patch seems to be coming away from the plaster.

If I take this off there will be a gaping hole in the paint work and I don't know what paint was used before.

My question is , how can I re-do my hall in a 'flat' paint surface.

I don't relish the thought of removing all the paint from my stairs and landing.

Is there something I can paint over the 'textured' paint to make it all even again.

There is only slight texture , its not spikey or anything.

Thanks

D x :)

its only a suggestion but more textured paint, and run a "float" over it to make it smooth
