I have a house built in the 50`s covered with the original render. I am extending to the side and I am removing the white coating and taking it back to the render so I can refinish the entire house again in one go. There are small cracks in the render and larger ones around the lintels although the render is not loose. Whats the best coating I can apply myself and do the cracks need any special attention. Also are there any firms that apply coatings without charging a small fortune.
