Hi all,

I've inherited a rad valve which is short a "decorator's cap". Any idea if/where I can get hold of one? It's for a Drayton, TR4 I think - looks almost identical to this, but isn't labelled with the model number:

I've tried B&Q - no joy, and Google turns up all of 5 useless links.

Cheers,

Rob

If you get desperate I have a bagful of them, but is there any particular reason that you haven't asked Drayton?

Why do you have a bagful? Is this an indication of magpie tendencies? ;)

Thanks for the offer Softus. Good (if blinking obvious ) suggestion - I'll get Drayton on the phone. Failing that, I may just take you up...

Use a small coin (5 pence) in the head of the valve between pin of valve and bottom of screw top. this locks the pin dowm permanent.

Also still blank of the rad valve is rad removed for long period in case the kids fiddle.

Maybe, not sure, but what I do know is that the threads and depths of caps have changed over the years, and I keep finding customers that can't find the ones that I left with them years ago, so the spares frequently come in useful.
