Thermalite Blocks - Lighter the better?

Hi All

My Building Plans state that I should use "100mm Celcon Insulation Blocks inner leaf".

Can I substitute these with Thermalite Block of the same size?

Picture Below shows exsisting Kitchen and Garage with proposed Bathroom and Bedroom which is the width of the single garage. The only block work that needs doing on the ground floor is the Inner leaf of the Garage.



If so, is Shield or Turbo suitable.

Waiting for the BCO to get back to me but would appriciate your thoughts.
