Thermo shower how the hell do i?

timmyquick

I bought a cheapo shower of ebay becasue my old one broken and I.m Skint.

I don't see how to fix it to the wall. I can get a nut to go on the ends ( look at pictures) but then the tap end feeds wont fit on because thickness of the tiled wall. The shower came with no fittings other than what you can see in pictures.

Any help would be nice other wise i wasted £35.

hi, normally the pipe feeding these mixers should have been fixed to the wall, maybe with a wing back elbow. the mixer you have then fixes to the pipe with compression nut and olive.
the one you have have dog leg type fitting to adjust the diff pipe width (gap)

sometimes they are fitted relying just on the pipes to hold them in place (my house has one like that :(

but you can get an adaptor plate that screws on the wall and gives a much better fixing.

it would be useful to see a pic of the walll where the pipes come out.

edited: this is the thing

Thanks JohnD

I will buy them as soon as i got some money. Its a cavity wall, 9mm plaster board with tile on 1 side. This is the kind of thing which should be included with it when you buy these things.
