HI, well the title says it all really.
I need to put a concrete floor in a barn 4m x 10m.
Its difficult to get hardcore in this part of France so I am considering thickening the slab to 250mm and laying it directly onto a membrane placed on the compacted soil.

Firstly do you consider it feasible and secondly should I add some mesh reinforcement?

Thanks

You have more chance of it moving/cracking the mesh would def assist.
There must be an old stone wall nearby you can attack.

you definately could do with some form of sub base as a slab those dimensions will definately crack maybe if you took it down to 500mm with plenty of mesh you could get away with it.

even if you just use some balast and compcat it it will help
