Hi

Its me again with my kitchen light fittings. I have had a look at the switches and there are only 2 wires connected to each light switch a live and a com.

I really want these switches to control both banks of lights rather than just 1 each is this going to be a big job?

you will need to run a peice of twin and earth between the two switches
then wire like this

Bit of a strange way for some poor person looking in the future :)

But yep, it will work A-OK.

Hi

Thanks for that, It works brilliantly. As for the future - the house is over 100 years old, and the wiring and the plumbing are already a mess!

yeah it is a bit strange lectrician but i think its the easiest way

this exact same question came up not long ago and at first i advised wiring a conventional two way system and spurring off it to the second light and joining the old cuircuit cables to the second light with a JB

this seemed horribly complicated though so i thought about it for a bit and came up with the method shown here
