How to remove bathroom tiles from plasterboard without (too much) damage to the plasterboard? Not worried about the tiles. I can only make holes! The walls are half-tiled to one metre from the floor.
It's not easy to remove tiles from plasterboard without damage. It depends what adhesive has been used and how well they were applied - you might be lucky, you might not. If you're lucky they'll come off with a wide scraper or even a shovel. If you're not lucky, you could try a bolster chisel, but that will probably just punch through the plasterboard. You might have luck with tapping a wide scraper with a hammer.
It's generally quicker to just rip the plasterboard out and replace - saves a lot of messing about.
