Toilet Seat (advice wanted lol)

Just got a new toilet seat, £25. Just went to put it on and the holes dont match up, now either there are different size seats, something missing from the box or I have to remove screws that are already attached to the seat and adjust, I dont want to start fiddling, advice off here first please. :D

only having replced 2 i removed all fixings from existing and used stuff in the box, both were adjustable.

I trust this will give you some thing to go on :LOL:
 
Common sense lesson number 1:
Take the old seat with you when buying a new one, so that you can get the same size for your toilet etc ;)

Post a picture if you can and we might be able to help you with it.

I thought they were all standard sizes TBH. Im going to try removing the screws, see if it adjusts, if not, back to B+Q for a refund.
 
since most of us here presume the seat is adjustable, so it will fit any toilet, do you suppose that where the expression "bog standard" came from? :LOL:
