GOt a trevi boost which only gives an adequate shower temperature with the temeprature control handle set to absolute maximum.

Apparently there is a wax seal inside which I can take out to control the temp manually, at the expense of the mixer no longer being thermostatic.
Does anyone know about this?
We have good hot water pressure - its scalding hot from all other taps and the bath above which the shower is mounted. The mains cold is also ok.
