Trevi shower filter problem....

Hi,

I have a trevi mixer shower and not too long ago had to call someone out to have a look at it as the hot water was only coming out luke warm.

They opened the section of piping where the filter was and cleaned it out, as soon as they did this the water was fine. Problem being every month or so i have to do the same.

Is there anything i can do to solve this? Why is it the filter determines the heat of the water, surely this would just determine the cleanliness??

Any help would be very appreciated.
