Hi gentlemen

Been a bit busy so I hav'nt been on for a while.

A few weeks ago I asked for help on this boiler, locks out only when cold
once its on it is fine.

Telephoned Trianco they didn't have a clue.

So far I have examined the oil pipe as it is all exposed apart from where it enters the wall, changed the flexihose, changed the photocell and control box, only the pump to go.

Any ideas please?

thanks for replies

Air, pump pressure and smoke no: are all ok , I thought that would be the problem myself so my first option was a good service

oil line falls to the boiler single pipe system with tank higher than burner Kingsway you say it could be many things any chance you could elaborate please because I am running out of ideas.

The Burner is an Electra, what do you mean by inter burner Wilhlem xcuse my ignorance first year on the job

electro oil/ bentone yep i call them inters.
was drive dogs ok?
is the spark nice and healthy?
could be capacitor on motor...?
what pump has it got on it msla? bfp?
could be loads of things... :cry:

:LOL:
msla =early danfoss pump
bfp= later danfoss pump
both have solenoid coils, which can pack in.
drive dogs, can wear. thats motor to pump connection.
not rocket science, hence not installed on shuttle. :LOL:
;)
and why i do it...... :cry:

Msla Early Danfoss

Spark seems healthy it fires straight away then after a few seconds the flame drops away then locks out.

try it again and the bloody thing is fine all day until it is switched off.

well, if this was me, at this stage i would change the motor, cos its easy.
then the transformer, photo cell ,then the contol box, ie bin the bho thats on it and wire in a satronic(i prefer satronic ,thats all i carry) but im stumped.
but first go back through all the basics first. sometimes too much air can fekk things up.
failing that, get a parts list and stick a pin in it :LOL: .....yeh like i did :D :D

bho (thats a danfoss control box, kev ;) )

Thanks Wilhelm thats what I thought I would have to do.
