That's a funny looking shower mixer Kev?
Best bet is probably the Mira (or other) Pressure Balanced one. Thermostatic mixers on combis can under some circumstances (mains pressure problems etc) do undesirable things.
Yes you should get a good shower with a 28kW combi, unless the mains pressure/flow is poor.
What's the flow fro the kitchen cold tap, then try the hot tap, then try 2 taps...

if it aint coming in chris it certainly aint going out

thanks for responses.....mains pressure is good , boiler is only 1 year old and in good working order. How risky is going for a plain mixer over a pressure balanced mixer? What are the "undesirable" things they can do under certain circumstances ( and what are the ...certain circumstances) ?!
