underside of stairs cover

hi all,

i have had some stairs fitted to go into the loft, can anyone suggest ways in which i could cover the underside of the stairs so it looks like a professional finish?

Under Building Reg's, you need to provide 30min. FR so either two layers of 12.5mm plasterboard or 1 layer of 15mm Fireline board will achieve the necessary resistance, which can be skimmed over.

1 x 12.5mm board, and skim, will give 1/2 hour

I suspect most BC's will accept 1 layer 12.5 standard board, I would be extremely surprised if British Gypsum would put it in writing though.
