Ive just moved into a house and there's only pullcords for the light in the bedrooms...,Theres blanking plates for switches on the wall but no cable in them ! :? .Ive bought cable and switches...and have a decent level of skill with diy   .
Is it possible to split the cable ( to the pullcord / light ) with block connectors and run a cable down to a light switch...will that be ok..or am i at risk of burning the house down  ???

Cheers

you can join the cable at the pull switch and extend to light switch. if using terminal block it must be accessable. if you want to plaster over, youll have to either solder or crimp (using proper ratchet crimp tool, not squeeze-n-hope tool)
