I have a bath/shower with a shower screen. By bathroom is tiled but the thread on the the wall plugs at the top has broken.

i'm not sure how to progress as with broken plus not sure how to get the plugs out, and even if I could, I'm worried it will cause the tile to break, or at least increase the size of the hole.

If the hole becomes to big i'd need wider replacement plugs but any wider screws wouldnt fit on the shower screen fitting.

Any thoughts?

Not sure if I am understanding this 100% but here is what I think. Put a screw into the broken wall plug and screw it in about half way. Now you may be able to pull it out along with the wall plug.
Insert a new, full wall plug and proceed as normal?

If the hole is too big, fill it with a bonding adhesive such as tech 7, or even no more nails, then push the wall plug in onto that. Let it dry and bond overnight and then proceed as normal?

Would that work?
