i am stripping of the old tiles and plaster on the shower side of the bathroom and putting up hardibacker boards on the wall, do screw these on as well as sticking with tile adhesive tile sizes are 330 x 500
If you’re not fixing to battens as recommended, you need to mechanically fix as well; I would advise using drywall adhesive rather that tile adhesive. If you haven’t already done so, read this; http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1596465#1596465
I didn’t think they came that small. I hope your using Hardie 500 board (12mm) & not the 6mm 250!
