The government have launched a website under an initiative called the Better Regulation Executive

Here's a quote from the site: -
“The Government wants your help in tackling unnecessary regulation. We've talked to business and voluntary sector organisations about how best to do this, and they helped us design this site. Why not seize this opportunity and send us your best ideas.” William Sargent, Executive Chair of the Better Regulation Executive, Cabinet Office

You need to click on the text 'Better Regulation Portal' on the right hand side.

If you want to explain why Part P isn't working, then be prepared to make a logical and reasoned argument.

The government seldom listens to rants and people who lose their temper after two sentences.

If you feel that you can put together a well-balanced argument against Part P then here is your chance.

Red rags and bulls spring to mind..

I think this will be a can of worms they'll wish they had left closed..

Anyone know of a link where you can tell this government that most of what they do doesn't work, not just part P. :p

Just what isnt working exactly? Maybe you could spell it out to me how requiring a qualification is in any way worse than not requiring one? Are you part P approved? I think this is where your problem lies, you either are not considered competent by the approved installers scheme or you dont like being regulated.

If you don't know what this is all about, then start a new thread and ask.

This post is not aimed at you and it is not here to provide an explanation about Part P.

Please don't hijack this thread by moving it into a different direction.

This post is for people who have seen this scheme from the beginning, had to work with it and realised that it has short comings.

It has a link to the government's own site. That's where you should be posting.
