Washed sand

I am buying the materials for some building work I am having done at home. One of the items is 1 big bag of washed sand for rendering I haven't seen this when looking. Does anyone know if it comes under any other name? Where can I get it? Any help appreciated.

washed sand is different to building sand in that that basically the particles are bigger as the fine clay has been washed away. Ask any buliding merchant that you want rendering sand and not building sand and they should stock it. slightly dearer also.

Find out what they mean by a big bag: you can get 1 tonne bags of sand, they are pretty big!

Probably safe to assume they mean 25kg, but I would check if I were you. Might be worth asking them about their betta nails too.
