WASHER DOOR WON'T OPEN

Hi

I have a Creda 1000 Supaspeed. No frills - no problems....till now. I have a drum full of washing, the cycle has completed but the handle has snapped off when trying to open the door.

I have UNPLUGGED the machine and pulled the plug out of the socket. Taken the top off the machine and found a white plastic lock mechanism but have no idea which bit I'm suppose to move to release the lock.

Can someone please help?
 
There's a metal bar in the centre of the lock flick it with a small screwdriver
