Washing line dilema!

This is probably not high on everyones interest radar, but I have a small dilema I would appreciate some advice on.

I have just paved most of my courtyard garden and decked the last 2m.
Firstly I was going to sink a spinning washing line sleeve in between the slabs. Then I decided i could put it at the edge of the decking.

Now I'm not so sure.
Any advice?

I don't really have anywhere that I could mount 2 poles to get a high line.

There is a retractable line where you attach one end to a pole or your house, the other end to some other fixed point on a hook.
You stretch it out to use and retract when not , it will extend up to 50-60 feet.
It will hold about 40 lbs. of wet clothes.
