Water does not heatup, radiators seem fine

Hi

In the last few days my hot water has not been heating up. I have checked the boiler pressure and bled the radiators and although the radiators heat up fine, when I try to heat the water without heating the radiators - the water does not get hot.

I have noticed that when I switch the water on, it sounds like the boiler starts but approx 20 secs later it stops again

Any help will be much appreciated

Need more info than this, but it sounds like a dead zone valve.

The boiler is an Ideal Classic and the water tank is a Tribune Premiere, model number TP150B.

Yes Dan seems like the valve, unless there is two pumps on the system!!
