Good Evening,
I have a leaking boiler ( Worcester Bosch), Engineer has been notified and is coming out tomorrow.
I've turned off the water at the stop tap, just wondering if there is a way of turning off the water to the boiler only (dcw mains isolating valve as noted in manual? ) - this would enable to keep the main stop tap turned on.
Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

There should be a isolation valve just where the cold water pipe enters the boiler. You can turn it off from there instead of doing it from the mains stopcock.

This often only isolates the hot water circuit, so if the leak is on the cold water side then it wouldn’t do anything other than isolate the hot water supply, assuming a combi boiler.

@MrSnowy40 - is it a combi? If yes, post a photo of the underneath of the boiler, might be able to assist further. The caveat is, if there’s no isolation valve for the cold water side, then you’ll have to leave the stoptap off or maintain the leak. Depends on where the leak is too.
