hiya all, i have a mixer shower - about a year or so old now been perfect but i noticed a tiny bit of green stain on of the the connections to the cold pipe (hot and cold pipe run down the wall) seems a tiny weep every fair few hours. rather than nipping it up which im guessing is the right thing??? also which way?? (is it just a olive that connectors on to the pipe and a elbow on to the shower unit

a bit like

i wiped around it with some lsx as its the tinyist of weeps as its took a year and a half to even go green. will this sort it?

thanks

how much do i nip it up?? thats why i put some lsx around it?? will this hold, i get scared.. is it just a olive that is bititing in to the pipe??

Try about an eighth of a turn - maybe even less. And yes, most likely an olive -water weeping aroun the edge of it, so a tiny fraction is unlikely to create a problem.

thankyou for your help, i guess as its been over a year and not caused a problem i shouldnt even be worrying about it, (but i do)

as it can be a day before i get a tiny weep the lsx should be up to the job, if not ill tighten it up clock wise a tiny bit,\

thank you! :)
