Weight of timberframe builds

Curious to know this but are timber frame extensions a whole lot lighter than double skinned block extensions? Anyone know what the difference would be, let's say per cubic square metre of the same materials?

I don't think.you can put a weight approximation together like that. One thing I will say is that timber frames are a LOT heavier in the middle of a wet winter than they are in a hot, dry summer!

Yeh totally get that foundations need to be exactly the same no matter the construction material but surely the actual load is substantially different from standard block and brick builds?
