Got 4 quotes, he wasnt the cheapest, but seemed more interested and happy to chat about what I wanted, one bloke turned up in his nissan 350z with his secretary who took my details on a wireless notebook, didnt go with that quote, probably because it was the most expensive

A sensible approach indeed. 350Z and secretary doesn't seem like a sensible sales approach to me- perhaps they were off to a 'conference'! Nor would a rusty old heap and dirty trainers fit the bill. You had me worried until you said Shropshire because I couldn't compete with 2.5k.
