Hi I am a competent DIYer, whos just finished renovating my house, with new Bathrooms and Kitchen.

Now People want me to do the same with their bathrooms and kitchens, so I'm taking the plunge and will refit bathrooms and Kitchens.

My question is where am I best to buy materials from for Tiling, where do Tilers go?

Or do they go to the standard run of the mill open to the public Tile centres? If so do most tilers get a discount?

Good for you! Nothing ventured, nothing gained :)

Personally, I go where I can get the materials that I like. For example, my favourite plumbers' merchant sells a premixed wall tile adhesive that I favour. A local tile centre sells the rapid set floor adhesive that I get on with. Another sells the levelling compound that I prefer. Yet another sells the primers that I like. You just have to find out what you like and stick with it (pun intended).

If you're talking about tiles, then I try to avoid choosing them, at all costs!

Yes, if they are known to the staff at the outlet, or if they have an account.
