I'm sure it's been covered before but I can't see a thread that quite covers what I'm asking.

I have four areas to paint and need to know which paint to use - K&B seems the obvious choice for three of them but I don't like the glossy finish so would prefer something more towards matt. If there's difficulties with application/lower performance of alternatives I'll deal with the glossy finish:

Toilet room - currently in vinyl matt but it's been ruined after only a few weeks where it's getting splashed with water from wet hands. The room is not damp, or high moisture, it just suffers from people not being able to dry their hands. I need something that can get wet and not discolour/stain.

Bathroom - quite a damp room from poor ventilation which is currently painted in Dulux K&B. I hate the colour we chose so am considering re-doing it. Is K&B the best for a damp room?

Kitchen - average kitchen situation. A little damp with high traffic so need something that will handle the moisture, grease and knocks. Diamond matt best for this?

Hallways - currently vinyl matt but we have kids and the walls are getting trashed from grubby hands. I considered selling the kids but found no buyers. What's best here and close to a matt finish?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Toilet - Little green intellimatt a washable matt emulsion, very good paint.

Bathroom - Acrylic eggshell, all the major mfctrs do it, some dec's recommend silk but personally don't like the finish.

Kitchen - as above or the LG IM

Hallways LG IM

LG is not cheap but it seems you have to pay a lot for good paint these days. Johnstones is an alternative, they do endurance emulsion which is washable. Dulux diamond matt is an option but IMO not a very good matt finish and can be difficult to apply, not worth the money when for a few pounds more you can get a very very good quality paint from Little Green.

The eggshell from Johnstones is ok but the LG is good, paint library is also very good as is F&B, all expensive but they will enable you to keep the rooms clean without rubbing patches of paint off.
