Which trap?

Are there regs on which traps to use on a kitchen sink? I have only really seen P traps used on the proverbial KS.

Plenty of 40mm bottle traps around, so I guessing its ok? Any other practical reasons to opt for one over the other?

As long as they retain trap seal, why worry.

Thanks, I quite agree. I just couldn't recall seeing a bottle trap under a kitchen sink, and wondered if there's a reason.

The only possible reason I can think that they are not used on KS is that 'waste' going down the KS will probably be larger or lumpier and therefore more likely to block the small 'waterway' in a bottle trap as oppeosed to the 1 1/2" standards trap
