Here is what i have:

mains voltage downlighters in the ceiling of my kitchen (x4). also under cabinets, small flouresant fittings.

I have a 2 gang single switch plate.

I would like to have a 2 gang switch plate with 1 normal switch controlling the flouresant fittings and 1 as a dimmer switch for the mains downlighters, but can i get one CAN I HELL?

HELP

Maybe wrong
But you may be able to make it up via a grid switch type system.
Check out Mk,Crabtree,MEM they may just have what your looking for.
Switch back box needs to be fairly deep to allow for dimmers though!
Good Luck

It's the same stuff that can be seen in the steel conduit thread, and has now all been replaced :)

I did think about gridding the switch but it would not look right in my brand new kitchen.

why dont they make them?

Why not simply buy a 2G dimmer, and replace one of the dimmer modules with a 1P1W rotary switch?
