I would like to have my pc monitor in different place to the pc tower (but still in the same room). Can I get a device that will send the signal to the monitor wirelessly?

Wireless to monitor ?

I would stick with the two wires to the monitor and keep it close to the PC, UNLESS you have about £1,000 to throw away:

not wireless, but for £50 you can reduce it down to cat 5 rather than a bulky VGA cable
