My original shower was 9.5 Kw running on 30Amp fuse via 6mm sq cable.
The shower is being replaced with a new 9.5 Kw one and i have a few questions.

Should the cable be 10 mm sq rather than 6mm sq?

Also I know that the fuse rating should be 45Amp rather than 30Amp so how do i go about changing this.

There is no spare 45Amp block on my Consumer unit or else i would just switch it over.

Thanks.

it should be on a 45A fuse. 9.5KW is 39A 240V, 41A 230V. as for the cable, it depends on length, if it goes thru insulation etc etc. ideally, it should be 10mm. you should also have an RCD protecting the shower (for your own safety if there is a fault). if you dont have 1, you should split the meter tails with a henly block (search for other threads regarding how to split the tails) and then run a cable to a seperate CU with RCD and 45A MCB
