wiring of normal CFL light socket.. NEED HELP!!

i am from Victoria state of Australia.

i have recently bought a light socket which has 4-pins. i am looking to replace a florescent tube to a CFL lighting socket. below are the picture of the socket.

i have idea of where the earth and life wire should go and also know the local color code for electrical wire. however i have no idea what are the rest of the pins for. Can i just connect the earth and life wire and leave the rest unattached? Will it work and will it be safe?

all help from the guru's are greatly appreciated...

I don't think you can do anything with it legally as you are in Australia.
You have to get a qualified electrician or you could end up in court.
