Hi,

My 15yr old Whirlpool washer drier model AWG320BR is leaking at the back from the main drum bearing. The parts seem readily obtainable at around £30.

Does anyone have any opinions as to whether the machine is :

A) DIY repairable,
B) beyond DIY but worth booking a repairman,
C) Scrap.

Thanks.

i cant speak for your m/c (i used to work for HP) we used a specialy made bearing puller, it was easy but time consuming, but with out the bearing puller you have to "drift them out" which is not easy, but can be done. (several on here have done it)

also you should get a new drum support and heater.

for a 15 year old m/c i would not bother, even if it were 5 i would not bother. its your choice.
