What would be the ideal rebate size in a wood window frame for a DG unit?

Depending on the thickness of the DG unit, example the thickness of the glass and spacer bar.

I dont know the thickness Masona, i was just wondering. The height of the rebate isn't the issue but the width of the rebate to give how much room to allow for the sealing beads?
By the way Masona, thanks for all your kind replies to my various questions.

The ideal air gap from the heat insulation point of view is about 16mm. With two sheets of 4mm glass that makes a 24mm unit. Allow 2mm either side for glazing tape and a 12mm bead to hold it all in and you find you need 40mm. In the other direction you need about 12mm to cover up the spacer and its glue. So your rebate needs to be 40mm front to back and 12mm high.
