Hi,

I have taken away the carpet to our small room to reveal a nice hardwood t+g floor, which has some small gaps. I have teared away and sanded away at the artex from the ceiling. Unfortunately the white nasty pwder has fallen into the gaps, the floor has been moped but cant get rid of the powdered gaps.

I want to restore this floor....fill, sand and varnish.

To get the best results, what should I do about the white power issue?

Is there any substence I can use to fill the gaps? and/or get rid of the powder?

Thanks in advance for all the help and adivice.

hoover first

then stiff brush and hoover again

It would have been easier if you had done this before getting it wet.
