Hi,

Situation is I have 35 Cdi combi, taps in kitchen and bathroom sink tap work fine ie when turned on the boiler fires and hot water flows out. But the bathroom basin mixer doesn't give hot water when turned on, even at full hot setting. Could it be that the diameter of the tap is not big enough to cause enough water to flow and thus the boiler not to fire up?

All the rest of the system is fine. Do in need to buy a new basin tap?

Cheers

The boiler should turn on with about 3 litres per minute.

Check the flow rate from each tap.

Its possible that the tap which gives no hot water is faulty if its a mixer tap and is giving cold out when it should be hot. Or perhaps not enough hot out to switch on the boiler?

Thanks. I think it mut be the flow rate because if I turn on the bath and run it hot then when I turn on the suspect tap on hot (as well) hot water does come out - so i think that by itslef it cant be flowing at 3 liters per minute.
