i have drained my heating system to fit a new radiator now my pressure gauge on front of boiler is reading around 3.5 when it normally reads about 1.2. the overflow is going and when i release the water pressure the gauge drops as soon as i release it the pressure goes up. i have been told it may need to be re pressurized from the valve at the front [looks like a tyre valve] with a foot pump. the instructions i was given are

1 turn water off

2 disconnect flex hose from opposite end of stop tap

3 drain tank

4 repressurized with a foot pump but to what pressure?

the boiler is a worcester bosch 240

any help please
